A century of Japanese craft.
TOTO began in 1917, when Kazuchika Okura founded Toyo Toki to make ceramic sanitary ware in Kokura, in what is now Kitakyushu — at a time when few Japanese homes had sewers or Western-style toilets. After the Second World War the company added metal fittings and faucets to its ceramics, and in 1977 it opened its first overseas factory, in Indonesia. The defining moment came in 1980 with the WASHLET, the warm-water cleansing seat that changed how much of Asia thinks about the bathroom; by 2025 more than 70 million had been sold.
The innovations kept coming — the NEOREST integrated toilet in 1993, the ultra-smooth CEFIONTECT glaze in 1997, the rimless TORNADO FLUSH toilet in 2002 and EWATER+ electrolysed water in 2012 — each aimed at a cleaner bowl with less water and fewer chemicals. Today TOTO operates across Asia, the Americas and Europe, and its GT Series faucets, showers and matte-colour lavatories carry the same precision into the rest of the bathroom. Toilets & WASHLET
Where TOTO began, and where it leads. NEOREST integrates toilet and WASHLET into one sculpted form, with automatic lid, flush and self-cleaning functions; WASHLET seats add warm-water cleansing, a heated seat and warm-air drying to wall-hung, one-piece and close-coupled bowls. The rimless TORNADO FLUSH models swirl water around the whole bowl, and CEFIONTECT glaze leaves dirt nowhere to cling. For a simpler upgrade, the non-electric Eco-washer adds cleansing to an existing toilet.

Precision in the hand. The GT Series pairs slim, architectural bodies with a smooth single lever, in standard, semi-tall, tall-vessel and wall-mounted versions, so one family can serve every basin in the home — and continues into shower mixers and a floor-standing bath and shower set. The G Series and G Selection add hand showers and sliding rails, the LB Series offers a simpler, value-led line, and sensor faucets bring touch-free hygiene to powder rooms.

Completing the room. TOTO's thermostatic shower columns, hand and fixed showers deliver a soft, even spray with precise temperature control; its console, vessel and self-rimming lavatories come in white, matte white and matte black to sit with the toilets and fittings. Towel bars, paper holders, robe hooks and grab bars finish the bathroom in the same TOTO detailing.
