Light yet perfectly balanced, the design of the M10 chair was also ahead of its time. The challenge that Cassina’s Centro Ricerca e Sviluppo (Research and Development Unit) undertook was to look in-depth at the materials and the characteristics that maximise a product’s stability and durability. Seemingly simple, yet extremely innovative, the M10 went on to revolutionise the construction of Cassina’s classic chairs, this thanks to a highly complex manufacturing process. The wood frame is suspended on a upside-down “Y” shape, where the slim-line legs conceal a metal core that provides support for the whole. The low-profile padded seat, meantime, is warm and welcoming, and confers an elegant and refined tone to an masterpiece of carpentry.

· Base support in polish die-cast aluminium or matt black lacquered.
· Base in massive ash wood, natural or laquered in black matt finishing.
· Feet in black plastic material.
