Founded in 1968 by the Del Prete family in Pesaro, on Italy's Adriatic coast, Aster began not as a kitchen maker but as a producer of veneered wood panels — an origin that still shows in the company's command of timber and surface. In 1983 it launched the Aster Cucine kitchen brand, pairing genuine industrial capacity with workshop-level craft. Four decades on, Aster is one of Italy's most versatile kitchen houses: twelve collections, nearly five hundred finishes, and a presence in more than seventy-five countries — all still engineered and built in Italy.
What distinguishes Aster is a philosophy that is structured yet endlessly open. Its twelve collections are organised into five "moods" — Modern, Traditional, Transitional, Factory and Luxury Glam — each a complete design world for a different way of living, and each freely combinable with the others. Named for Milan's design quarter, Brera Academy is Aster's contemporary signature — disciplined horizontal lines, handleless fronts and an architectural calm. It moves effortlessly between melamine, laminate and fine veneer, making it as at home in a compact apartment as in an open-plan penthouse.
