Flokk is the largest manufacturer of seating furniture in Europe — a Norwegian group whose brands each bring a distinct expertise to the way we sit. HÅG, founded in Oslo in 1943, designs around the idea of celebrating movement: its HÅG in Balance mechanism lets the whole body shift naturally as you work, and the HÅG Capisco saddle chair of 1984, by Peter Opsvik, remains the most recognisable expression of that idea. RH, founded by Rolf Holstensson in Bodafors, Sweden in 1977, takes the opposite starting point — precise, highly adjustable support for long, focused sitting, which it calls human performance. Giroflex has been a Swiss ergonomics specialist since 1872 and invented the first swivel chair with a suspension system in 1926.
What unites the family is a Scandinavian design language — clean lines, muted palettes, respect for materials — and forty years of environmental work: recycled metals and plastics, modular construction that makes every chair repairable and refurbishable, and transparent carbon-footprint data on each product. One HÅG swivel chair is the only working chair in the world to carry the Nordic Swan eco-label. Flokk chose W. Atelier as its exclusive retailer for Singapore in 2019, and the HÅG and RH collections are on show, and available to try, at our Henderson Road showroom.
