A Night of Artistic Indulgence
W. Atelier proudly introduces to Singapore the Lune sofa by Republic of Fritz Hansen and Jaime Hayon at Art Porters gallery
12 May 2017, Singapore – W. Atelier was delighted to host the launch of the Lune sofa in Singapore last Wednesday, 03 May 2017 at the Art Porters gallery. Tucked in cosily in the heart of rustic Spottiswoode Park, Art Porters presented the perfect venue for the official introduction of the Lune, the sculptural and curvy masterpiece by Jaime Hayon in collaboration with Republic of Fritz Hansen, to the sunny island of Singapore.
Guests were treated to an intimate encounter with the luxurious piece that captured the intersection of clean Nordic aesthetics with southern elegance. The Lune boasts Fritz Hansen’s 20th century design heritage and quality, seamlessly paired with Hayon’s stylish and contemporary design – the perfect combination of functional art, delicate colours and alluring comfort.
The Lune sat flawlessly in the gallery, playing centrepiece for the night among the finest contemporary art pieces on display. The exclusive launch was attended by close to 100 guests comprising media friends and industry players, who were treated to canapés and fine wine as they marveled at the exceptional warmth and beauty of the Lune.
Daniel Magg, General Manager of W. Atelier got the evening underway with a warm welcome address before handing over to Dario Reicherl, Vice President Asia Pacific & Middle East, Republic of Fritz Hansen, to delve into further detail about the Lune.
Dario explained, “Lune is a Danish word that refers to a certain coveted, ideal temperature and the feeling one gets when everything is just right. That’s what this remarkable piece embodies and we are very happy to introduce it to the Singapore market.” He added jovially, “It’s like a warm comfortable place… but not too warm where you get burnt.”
W. Atelier was also pleasured to sponsor a draw at the end of the evening for the guests in attendance. The lucky winner of the first prize walked away with a KAISER idell luxus table lamp by Fritz Hansen valued at SGD 1,300.
